38 weeks! what to say? We can see the light at the end of the tunnel....i guess. Our due date is only 13 days away which is amazing and crazy at the same time. However to be realistic, when we first started this pregnancy we said we wanted a baby around March 30th which would be 22 days from now. We will see. We do know the baby can't come until after the 14th. Robb has a band festival on the 12th (which he and his students have been working really hard for), my brothers 30th birthday is Saturday and I'm suppose to play the piano at church on the 14th. So really this weekend is the worst time for the baby to come.
However my family has a little tradition with births and my brother is convinced this is a little girl that is going to be born on the 13th. I will explain why he believes this. My fathers birthday is May 7th. His sister (my aunt) had a baby girl and she was born on May 7th. Cute! Then 21 years later that little girl (my cousin Kady) had a baby girl on August 15th. August 15th happens to be her brothers (my other cousin Spencer) birthday. So are you seeing where this is going. The tradition is for sisters to have their first child, being a girl, on their brothers birthdays. And since my due date is so close to Sam's birthday he just thinks the tradition is going to stay alive. We will see!
We are still organizing and setting up the nursery. My mom needs to come back and put the finishing touches on our crib and changing area. Right now we need to decide where to put a large stuffed animal collection. The middle of the floor isn't where they belong. So once we move those and get rid of all the trash (baby things have lots of boxes) I will take some pictures to post.
